Fellow progressives, should we change the Stars & Stripes to the Rainbow Flag to promote peace and equality?
The American flag is a symbol of racism, ignorance, bigotry, intolerance and imperialism, caused by our capitalist system of greed and exploitation. The Rainbow flag represents diversity, multiculturalism, tolerance, peace, gay pride and equality. The world would stop hating us if we were nicer and less racist.
I also believe our national anthem, the Star-Spangled Banner, should be changed. It is too violent and violence is never the answer. We should adopt the Internationale, because we are a member of the world community, the United Nations.
My fellow progressives, let’s stop waving the American flag and whip out the Rainbow!
