A wedding is always going to be a major feat of planning and these days, even a relatively simple wedding can get out of hand and end up costing thousands. It is easy to get hooked into keeping up with modern trends and trying to have everything you see on television. Well, if you are going down that route, why go the whole hog and employ a wedding consultant.
It may not seem logical to add another expense to the list, but have you considered that it could save you money in the long run? With her business contacts, she can probably strike better deals than you could get on your own. She will be giving them lots of referrals way and they will want to keep her happy.
As a minimum, she can prepare a timeline and a checklist so that you know when to start planning and when to contact the companes you require. And a really good wedding consultant will be able to work with you to come up with something that meets your expectations but stays within your budget.
Whether you are artistic but don’t do organization or you just don’t have a clue, your wedding planner is there for you. The creative input is nice, but what about all the dull details? When you begin listing things that are needed for a wedding , it can be quite overwhelming.
If you have the money, you can leave it all to your wedding planning service. She can work through her checklist, making sure that each item has been considered and your opinion sought, and then you can safely leave it in her capable hands. Nothing will be left to chance and it will all be coordinated tol come together on the big day.
However, the scope of the wedding planning service is flexible, with the level of involvement being reflected in the cost. Obviously it would be great to hand it over to a professional and relieve yourself of the stress, but that is the costliest choice. The couple can decide with the consultant what her level of involvement will be.
There may be some elements of the planning where you would like to take a more hands on approach. Perhaps you work in or know someone in the catering industry and can take care of that yourself. You might prefer to do most of the practical stuff yourself and just use your wedding planner for artistic ideas.
At the very least, she can give you a checklist to work with so that you can book the services you will need in good time. Even this input could be a huge step towards making your wedding day a day that you will live in your memory for all the right reasons.
