USElectionNews.org Forecasts Purple Map In 2012
According to the website http://uselectionnews.org/, currently the 2012 political election map is changing to violet. This is an absolutely alarming turn for both parties, whom customarily turn to specific regions for their help.
In fact, using the results of an analysis of Gallup study info, authored by the respected information magazine Politico, party association or alliance in us states that elected The President in November 2008 have seen a big shift toward the middle and also towards the center right. Conversely, in 2008, only 5 states could be called solidly Republican ones. The same amount were considered right-leaning. The majority of these red or red-leaning states are in the West and include Wyoming, Utah, Idaho, Alaska, and Kansas.
In the 2010 elections of Congress, there were 8 total swing or purple states. That leaves open quite a few possible scenarios for presidential candidates. Now, instead of just having Ohio and Florida as the swing states to campaign in, now, presidential campaigns will have to pay extra special attention to places like Pennsylvania which only one cycle ago were staunchly Democratic. And, as the next twenty or so months that remain between now and voting day 2012, both sides will have to vie not only for the nation’s collective attention, but will also have to pander to the swing-state specific issues that could very well get them elected.
