Jeans Denim Pants
What is your stance on jeans?
I am curious as to what people of different nationalities think about blue jeans/denim pants. Particularly those who now live in the United States.

5.In the United States, where you are given freedom to where jeans, do they continue your traditions or do you change and wear what they want?

2. Not jean pants, but I wear a lot of jean and denim skirts.
3. Yes, people should be allowed wear what they want.
4. I just don’t like wearing pants in general, unless they’re pajama pants. I’m from a very conservative christian home, and I grew up always wearing skirts. I’m allowed to wear pants, and own a few capris (some things you just have to do in pants) but I prefer skirts. They’re more comfortable, loose, pretty, and I feel more like myself in them.
5. Well, I guess I’ve continued my family and church’s ‘tradition’ to not wear jeans. From what I have observed, most people here wear jeans. I only know a few people from other countries, a German/Iranian couple who converted to Christianity. Both adults wear jeans, and their son wears jeans, but their daughters usually wear skirts or culottes.
There’s a lot of Muslims in my area, and they don’t seem to wear jeans. Of course, I wouldn’t be able to tell if they were Muslim if they weren’t dressed a certain way. I have some Jewish friends who wear jeans often, unless they’re going to worship.
And even though I personally don’t wear jeans, I have nothing in particular against them. I certainly don’t think people should be forced to dress certain ways if they don’t want to. But in America I seem to stand out more for wearing skirts, and all of my friends but wear jeans. I guess I could start wearing jeans in order to ‘fit in’ but I personally like skirts. It’s a style thing.
