Can anyone in the Houston, Tx area recommend a good family doctor for a 18 month old girl toddler?
I’m on a search to look for a good family doctor for my little 18 month old baby girl the doctor i have now for her is very rude and the MA is so forgetful about her shots and i’m tired of it i want a good doctor in the southeast are of houston texas if anyone can recommend a good doctor and let me know how your experience was it would be very helpful…. You are absolutely right about wanting a doctor that you have a good rapport with. More than once, I have not returned because of my discomfort with the doctor.
Let’s face it — you are putting the life of your child in this person’s hands. You have every right to ask and have questions answered, not only in a courteous manner, but to your satisfaction and understanding.
The best advise I can give is to inquire with YOUR physician on several pediatricians in the area and make certain they all accept your health coverage. Take this list to your friends and see if any of them have had experiences with these doctors.
When you meet the doctor, tell them that (so and so) speaks highly of them and you are looking forward to the relationship. (Make no mention of the other doctor.) Ofttimes, it’s that personal accountability that makes office visits (especially when you have a sick child) more pleasant. Every specialist I have seen through the years is now a personal friend of mine. These professionals do not elevate themselves and intimidate — they genuinely care. Show them you care about their family and I guarantee they will return the favor.
Again, I stress — get personal, local recommendations from first, your doctor and then run these names by your friends. You and your baby will find a fit that is just right for you.
