Baby Girls Yellow

Im having a Birthday Party for my dog’s 1st Birthday, any suggestions?

My baby girl(yellow lab) is turning one soon and i’m planning a Birthday Party for her (is this weird??) in my back yard, which is a decent size. So far what I have is her b-day girl outfit, cake I got from a local pet bakery and decorations (Princess Theme). I have never done this before so what else do I do? like what do I feed the doggies? what about games? how many dogs(friendly) do I invite? How long should it last? Also how about just making a barbecue out side like burgers for the parents would that be ok? I would really appreciate any suggestions you might have Thanks

I have a German Shepherd who we adopted on July 3rd when he was a year and a half. Since we don’t know his real birthday, we are celebrating that as his birthday.

So far, we plan on making him a bandanna, buying him a bone from the local dog bakery, a new ID tag, some dog biscuits, and we are donating to the shelter we adopted him from, as well as taking him to visit.

I don’t know if you adopted or bought her, but if you adopted her, why not pay a visit to the shelter and send in a donation?

For the dogs, they will just have fun playing on their own. Maybe just scatter a few toys around for them to play with, and maybe have a fun little obedience competition! The winner gets a toy or bone!

Only invite a few dogs, maybe four or five. To many dogs in one place can be quite hectic! I think a good hour or two would be fine. The dogs can play, and the people can chat and eat.

Also, make sure a bucket or two of water is out there so the dogs can drink when thirsty. Also put a bowl with dog treats on the table, so if the owners want, they can give their dogs treats. You can’t just feed peoples dogs in case one of them is on a special diet of some sort.
